Brown Sugar Boba Milk

Really classic brown sugar boba milk. This is the most basic way to make it. This is probably the most basic recipe on this website. I'm kind of surprised you even bothered to click on this page. But this is a good example that you can make this delicious drink at home for super few ingredients and less money than at the shops!
If you want to be fancy, you can try making your own tapioca pearls. This is the recipe I used for the picture on the right. But I had a lot of prepackaged ones in my cabinet, and I wanted to use those up.

Ingredients

-
1 cup whole or nondairy milk with ice (or strongly brewed black tea + choice of cream)
-
1/4 cup tapioca pearls, cooked according to package instructions
-
3 Tablespoons brown sugar (light, dark, muscovado, etc.)
-
3 Tablespoons water

Instructions

-
After boiling and draining the tapioca pearls, add the brown sugar and water and simmer until the brown sugar becomes a sticky, syrupy liquid.
-
Add the tapioca pearls to the bottom of your glass, and roll the glass around if you want it to look fancy.
-
Add ice cubes and pour milk over the top. Take a fancy picture, then stir to dissolve the syrup. Enjoy!
