Anmitsu

Anmitsu usually contains a variety of textures and components with agar jelly is the base. Toppings can include different types of mochi, fruit, and ice cream. My favorite kind was from Cha An Teahouse in East Village, NYC. It had hojicha agar jelly cubes, kuromitsu (black sugar syrup), shiratama dango, warabimochi, red bean paste, and hojicha ice cream. Here is my version at home!
